At the moment I am attending my home town college, MSU. It’s not ridiculously bad here but the fact that I’m living at home and not getting to “spread my wings” is driving me a little bit up the wall. My parents are good people but that doesn’t mean they aren’t over protective and try to control my life still. So, I decided it is time to leave the nest.
At first going away for school seemed like a challenge, telling my parents took a long time, but now things are kind of falling into place. I’ve applied and talked to all my advisors. My parents are finally agreeing to visit NDSU’s campus with me and my grandparent’s just started talking about buying a town house next to my Uncle to rent to college kids. Of course this is all new and exciting information, but nothing is set in stone yet. I’m still waiting for an acceptance letter and of course to see how much scholarship money I can obtain. Also living arrangements are all up in the air.
There is much to worry about still, but for tonight I’m just glad that I finally have some options.
